Ecomotive shortlisted for William Sutton Prize

Ecomotive has been selected, in partnership with SNUG Homes, as one of six finalists for The William Sutton Prize for Placemaking and Affordable Housing Design.

Run by Clarion Housing Group - the UK’s largest provider of affordable housing - the competition received a record-breaking 154 applications this year.

Our bid centres on 'Home-Made Bristol', a proposed construction and training hub which represents the scaling up of our initial micro-scale pilot project ‘Home-Made Lockleaze’, which we launched in Autumn 2019 in collaboration with SNUG Homes.

Combining ecological housing production, high quality urban design, local apprenticeships and employment, self build training and community-led housing support, we are planning to create a vibrant ecosystem of community participation based on the co-production of housing to meet real local needs.
