Community Led Housing Hub
Ecomotive project managed the establishment of a Hub for Community Led Housing for the West of England, in collaboration with our partners from Bristol CLT, Knowle West Media Centre and Locality. The Hub ultimately aims to help make more brilliant people-led housing projects happen in and around the region (South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and Bristol).
Ecomotive led the team in conducting research, stakeholder engagement and consultation and developing partnerships over 2017 and 2018. The Hub service will be delivered by BCLT from Autumn 2019.
The Hub steering group achieved a number of key successes, including establishment of a partnership arrangement between Bristol and Bath Regional Capital (BBRC), Bristol City Council and the Hub to provide a three-pronged support package involving finance, land and technical support. We have also provided a number of policy recommendations to Bristol City Council, which we expect to be adopted formally in 2019.
