We are excited to be setting up our new ‘Self-Build and Community Led Housing Training and Build Space’ in Bristol. Over the next year, we plan to have various activities, events and workshops in the space exploring ways to help you create your own housing project.

To kick off, we have a full programme of events throughout September and October 2019, covering a wide range of housing topics focusing on self build, community led housing and environmental performance.   We welcome you all for this fantastic opportunity to get actively involved.

The Wordsworth Community Centre can be found here – Click here! to see more.

Collaborating with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, this programme integrates with Lockleaze Loves Homes initiative rethinking and redesigning how and where we live. We are pleased to share with you the programme of fun and informative events. Come and learn about tiny house building or community led development opportunities, or come and try your hand at making a SNUG BUG hotel, or even come and help build the SNUG home.

If you have ideas for future talks, workshops or events around people led housing, please let us know.

We are looking for bright minded enthusiastic people to get involved with the projects we have ahead of us! This includes becoming part of our team helping to organise, create, design and deliver events. We are also looking for people who would like to participate in the build of our ‘SNUG home’. We are not expecting you to have previous building skills, and will provide training for those who sign up to our 10 week programme. (We will have more info on the build phase soon).

So come along, be part of our community and join the movement in creating a real change in how homes and communities are created.
